Behind Brixton’s high rises can be found one of London’s most unlikely spaces.
Nestled inbetween the buildings, the Ebony Riding School has set up base. The riding school was developed in 2006, with the aim of teaching equestrian skills to inner city children.
The area is known for being a tough place to grow up, with issues relating to crime and social unrest. It is hoped that the school can be a safe haven for children, where they can escape their everyday troubles.
The club is flourishing with member numbers rising from 5 to 79 over the past decade, and an average weekly attendance of 140 yound people.
